Around the day in 80 worlds
The Tour du jour en 80 Mondes event was launched in 2018 as part of the France-Israel year and was approved by the Institut Français. A new Mot pour Mot Marseille hub was then created to build a bridge between Sète, Marseille, the Euro-Mediterranean capital, and the city of Haifa. Following the success of the last six editions, Mot pour Mot reinvents its partnership with the CD13 and the Région Sud and dedicates its 7th edition of Tour du jour en 80 mondes to the city of Naples in Italy.
Tour du Jour en 80 Mondes is a poetry, dance and theatre event featuring original, artistic and participatory performances and educational activities aimed at a wide audience in priority neighbourhoods and schools.
Tour du Jour en 80 Mondes, brings together disciplines, cultures, works, artists and languages, using poetry as a tool to break down barriers, promote diversity and democratise culture. A poetically useful event, this programme emphasises the restorative role of poetry in re-establishing a link with the world and society.
Driven by a concern for openness and the promotion of decentralised cultural cooperation, Mot pour Mot looks beyond borders and is committed to new exchanges with Naples, a cosmopolitan city.
In the eighty worlds of our Tour du Jour, we're preparing the 7th edition in 2024 to meet great poets from here and there. This year, the writer Erri De Luca is doing us the honour of being our support artist.
