MÈRE MÉDITERRANÉE
The Mediterranean, small in area, is immense in its influence and historical importance. Its shores have seen the birth of myths, philosophy, poetry, theatre, democracy, monotheism and more. This show is an opportunity to imagine a collective future, to preserve education in equality, freedom, fraternity, secularism... when its existence is both the best guarantee of individual freedom and the best cement for a society that transcends its differences. This show is a genuine cultural initiative of proximity, tolerance and fraternity, with poems from the Mediterranean, from Yannis Ritsos to Jacques Prévert, via Maram Al Masri, Andrée Chédid, Zohra Karim and Tahar Ben Jelloun, to name but a few. With the participation of Tunisian musician Imed Alibi, artistic director of the famous Carthages Music Festival. In 2022, he was appointed Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the Minister of Culture.
